Victoria Hart, Manager of Applied Research and Sustainability Team, Bassett

Victoria is the Victorian Manager of Applied Research and Sustainability Team within Bassett, part of AECOM. Passionate about sustainability in the built environment, Victoria specialises in the development and implementation of a first principles approach to reducing the ecological footprint of buildings and property portfolios, ensuring that fully integrated, practical, cost-effective solutions are achieved. She has experience in both strategic and applied environmental sustainability encompassing the broad areas of sustainability leadership through planning, design and construction of new buildings, implementation programs, technical feasibility studies and modelling, setting targets and objectives based on either Australian or International best practice and establishing monitoring and reporting frameworks to enable initiatives to be tracked from inception throughout the project life.

Through the delivery of numerous projects to clients and her Post Graduate Diploma in Energy Studies (2007), Victoria has gained a sound understanding of the diversity of issues and challenges surrounding sustainability and climate change policy, and objectives, from a local, national and international perspective and the potential to adapt these to assist in the achievement of desired outcomes. Victoria's experience on a wide range of projects has also given her a unique understanding of the practical ESD opportunities that can be realised. 

Victoria is a working group member of the Property Council of Australia’s Sustainable Development Committee, a Green Star Accredited Professional and a NABERS Accredited Assessor.
