Jonas Bengtsson, Edge Environment

 

Jonas is a founding member of Edge Environment. He began his environmental studies in 1995, focusing on climate change and energy. He is a trained physicist (MSc) and environmental manager (MEM) with seven years’ consultancy experience. Before coming to Australia he worked as a systems engineer in vehicle electronic and software development projects in Europe and the US.

In Australia and New Zealand, Jonas has managed and delivered sustainable buildings and climate change research projects and worked with industry and government clients on building product and whole building LCAs and embodied carbon assessments. Jonas I part of Edge Environment’s team working with the Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society (ALCAS), CSIRO, BRANZ, State and Federal Government in Australia to develop the Australian Life Cycle Inventory and a level playfield LCA methodology.

Green Cities 09 is Australia's premier conference for sustainability in the built environment. A joint initiative of the Green Building Council of Australia and the Property Council of Australia, the theme for Green Cities 09 is "Valuable, Affordable, Sustainable".

Green building innovators will gather in Brisbane from 1-3 March, 2009 to launch new products and technologies, and explore new ideas in sustainable building.
