PC specialises in Integrated Building Design; using simulation tools to assist in the design and delivery of sustainable buildings. He has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, followed by 20 years' consulting, research and teaching experience in Sustainable Buildings, Building Energy Simulation, Energy Auditing, Energy Efficiency in Buildings, and Solar Energy.

PC is both an Accredited Assessor for existing buildings, and an Independent Design Review Panel (IDRP) member for the Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR). He is also an accredited professional with the Green Star scheme for rating broader building sustainability and a member of the Green Star Faculty and Independent Chair. PC is a committee member on the International Energy Agency Task for Validation and Testing of Building Energy Simulation Software. PC was invited to be a member on Working Groups that helped develop the energy efficiency provisions for the BCA.

Green Cities 09 is Australia's premier conference for sustainability in the built environment. A joint initiative of the Green Building Council of Australia and the Property Council of Australia, the theme for Green Cities 09 is "Valuable, Affordable, Sustainable".

Green building innovators will gather in Brisbane from 1-3 March, 2009 to launch new products and technologies, and explore new ideas in sustainable building.
