Stephen Ballesty is the Sydney based Head of Advisory Services for global professional services group, Rider Levett Bucknall. He has over 25 years of experience in property, construction and facilities consulting, and has been designated a Certified Facility Manager by IFMA and a Chartered FM Surveyor by the RICS.

Stephen currently serves as a Director and the Immediate Past Chairman of the Facility Management Association of Australia and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Facility Management Association Foundation. He was the Deputy Chairman of the Australian Government’s FM Action Agenda concluding 2008

In addition to he is a co-author of the RICS's 2009 'Technical Due Diligence Guidelines', Committee Convener for the PCA’s 2006 ‘a Guide to Office Building Quality’ , and the CRC for Construction Innovation’s Project Leader on the award winning FM Exemplar Project: Sydney Opera House publishing ‘FM as a business enabler’ in 2007.


Green Cities 09 is Australia's premier conference for sustainability in the built environment. A joint initiative of the Green Building Council of Australia and the Property Council of Australia, the theme for Green Cities 09 is "Valuable, Affordable, Sustainable".
