Mark Thomson, Director, TVS Partnership

Mark Thomson is an Ecological Architect and a passionate advocate of green buildings and sustainable communities.

Since 1992 he has been a Director of a Brisbane based award winning architectural firm, The TVS Partnership Pty Ltd, and in 2005 founded Ecolateral, a Sustainability Specialists’ Consulting Practice.

Mark is an active member of the Green Building Council of Australia’s Greenstar Faculty and has been a Greenstar Accredited Professional since 2004.

As an Adjunct Professor at QUT he has been involved in ESD education and is currently the Director of Research for the Living Wall Project.

Through his management of The TVS Partnership Interiors for 20 years, Mark has been involved in commercial fitout and refurbishment projects and understands the important role of facilities management.

In 2008 he was appointed President of the Australian Green Development Forum where he is focused on increasing the ‘Enviro Provider Community’.

Green Cities 09 is Australia's premier conference for sustainability in the built environment. A joint initiative of the Green Building Council of Australia and the Property Council of Australia, the theme for Green Cities 09 is "Valuable, Affordable, Sustainable".

Green building innovators will gather in Brisbane from 1-3 March, 2009 to launch new products and technologies, and explore new ideas in sustainable building.
