Daniel Grollo, Chief Executive Officer, Grocon

Daniel Grollo is Chief Executive Officer of Grocon Pty Ltd, Australia's largest privately-owned development and construction company.

Grocon was originally started as a concreting business in the late 1950s by Daniel's grandfather, Luigi Grollo, building suburban swimming pools and community facilities. Luigi's son, Bruno, transformed the company into a development and construction giant in the 1980s and 1990s, building such iconic structures as Melbourne's Rialto Towers and restoring Sydney's heritage GPO building at No 1 Martin Place.

Daniel joined Grocon in the late 1980s and worked his way up to eventually take over the business from his father in 1999. More recently, Grocon has completed central Melbourne's QV development, the distinctive Eureka Tower on Southbank and the Melbourne Cricket Ground redevelopment for the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
