Jo Kentish, Associate Director, Sustainability and Climate Change

Jo Kentish is an Associate Director in the Sustainability and Climate Change practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers with a focus on sustainable energy, sustainable buildings and climate change. She has ten years professional experience of consulting with a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors, a Masters degree in the environmental field and is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Jo moved to Australia from the UK in 2007.  Her experience in the UK includes working with the central Government to develop and launch the Code for Sustainable Homes, and supporting the ‘Prince’s Charities’ in a major research project on ‘embedding sustainability into decision-making’ – with a focus on the construction sector.  Since being in Australia Jo has worked with a range of clients to assess sustainability risks and opportunities, evaluate policy options and develop sustainability strategy. This has included work with the Green Building Council of Australia in 2008 to understand the role that the buildings sector could play in the emerging carbon market.

Green Cities 09 is Australia's premier conference for sustainability in the built environment. A joint initiative of the Green Building Council of Australia and the Property Council of Australia, the theme for Green Cities 09 is "Valuable, Affordable, Sustainable".

Green building innovators will gather in Brisbane from 1-3 March, 2009 to launch new products and technologies, and explore new ideas in sustainable building.
