• Was a member of the team that drafted the PCA Guide to Office Building Quality which was released in May 2006

Recent projects include:

• Working with a 12,000sqm corporate tenant assessing the potential environmental performance of buildings under consideration for occupation, and then working with the landlord of the chosen building to agree procedures and lease terms to maximise sustainable performance
• Working with a major national tenant to review and improve the environmental performance of their premises. This included encouraging better environmental performance from their landlord
• Project managing the double glazing of an 18 storey Brisbane building whilst occupied
• Pre-purchase and technical due diligence advice including considering the potential environmental performance of buildings under review
• Advising on refurbishment strategies for existing buildings and project managing refurbishment to meet contemporary levels of performance and required sustainability goals

John also provides training in environmental performance and sustainability as it relates to the commercial property industry and works with building and environmental bodies in both the private and government sectors
