William (Bill) Grace, Corporate Manager Sustainability
Bill Grace is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers with over 25 years experience in the durability and sustainability aspects of infrastructure and development projects. Bill is GHD’s Corporate Manager, Sustainability, with an overarching international role to provide a corporate focus for sustainability both in respect of services to clients and GHD’s internal sustainability performance.
In this role Bill is leading GHD’s service provision globally in a wide range of sustainability related management and technical areas, including:
» Strategic advice to public and private sector organisations on the integration of sustainability principles into their operations;
» Sustainability assessment of policies, strategies and projects;
» Greenhouse management and climate change
» Eco-efficiency;
» Sustainable land development, including integrated urban water cycle management and renewable energy;
» Green building design.
Bill is a member of the Western Australian Planning Commission’s Statutory Planning and Metropolitan Region Planning committees.
He was previously Deputy Chairman of the Western Australian Sustainability Roundtable, which was charged with providing advice to the Premier on implementation of the State Sustainability Strategy. Mr Grace is personally involved in a diverse range of sustainability related projects; including strategic advice on sustainability for corporate and government clients, and development of sustainability assessment frameworks. Bill’s personal expertise includes sustainability in the built environment including sustainable land development, integrated urban water cycle management, green building design and lowering the environmental impact of construction materials
