Ashak Nathwani, Director Norman, Disney & Young
Ashak is a Director of the International Consulting Engineering firm, Norman Disney & Young (NDY), an Inaugural Member of GBCA. Ashak has a Master of Engineering Science degree from the University of NSW and over 36 years of practical experience in the property industry.
Through research, combined with implementation of practical applications, Ashak has developed a true understanding of Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) principles. He heads up the specialist division, NDY Environment, which addresses all aspects of Sustainability.
Ashak has contributed in implementation of challenging technologies in many projects, including:
- Western Sydney Record Centre - largest Geothermal Air Conditioning system in NSW, Australia.
- ACER Arena (SuperDome) - Olympic Park - Australia’s largest under seat Displacement Air Conditioning.
- Various Data Centre environmental systems, using extensive CFD analyses; and
- Numerous Green Star certification projects, including 101 Miller Street, North Sydney
