Background

Green Cities is Australia’s pre-eminent annual conference and expo focusing on sustainability for the built environment. Jointly hosted between Australia’s leading property industry associations, the Green Building Council of Australia and the Property Council of Australia.

Now in its third year, Green Cities is expected to attract 1,500 delegates in 2009 – a growth of 60% from its inception in 2007. In 2008 the conference attracted over 1,200 delegates from Australia, Asia and South Africa. The focus for 2009 is to continue to grow the conference, to improve its quality and delivery, as well as building on the successes of the past. Green Cities 09 will bring the latest Australian and international green building knowledge to its delegates.

Green Cities is recognised as the green building innovators forum where suppliers of sustainable construction products, materials and services introduce new concepts and launch new products, and where anyone with an interest in sustainable buildings can learn and share their experiences.

Conference Details

The event commences with the launch of the Green Cities 09 expo and welcome reception on Sunday evening.

The two-day conference and expo will offer delegates the opportunity to explore the latest green building initiatives and technologies that are currently available and hear from key international and Australian speakers who are transforming the property industry now.

A third day will include Green Star courses and workshops, as well as a selection of Property Council of Australia’s Professional Development courses. A number of green building tours will also be available.

Places are limited so early registration is recommended.
